When your steering gets heavy or you notice puddles of hydraulic fluid under the front axle, it’s usually the power steering cylinder seals telling you they’re done. A failing pump creates hard steering, especially at low RPM or when stopped, making your tractor dangerous to operate and exhausting to use. This seal kit brings back that fingertip steering control you need for long days in the field or tight loader work around the barn.
What You’re Getting
- Complete seal set that stops leaks and restores proper hydraulic pressure
- OEM-quality seals designed to handle the high pressures of power steering systems
- All the seals you need for a complete cylinder rebuild in one kit
- Precision-manufactured seals that maintain proper tolerances for smooth operation
- Durable materials that resist wear from constant steering movement
Built for Real Farm Work
This kit fits Case CS series tractors (CS68 through CS100) and Steyr 9000, 9100, and M series models. The Case CS series tractors (from the compact CS78 to the powerful CS150) are versatile workhorses on crop and livestock farms. Similarly, Steyr’s 9000, 9100, and M series deliver reliable power for European-style farming operations. Whether you’re running a loader, cultivating row crops, or pulling heavy implements, these tractors need responsive steering to work safely and efficiently.
Made to Last
Power steering systems operate at high pressures and get used constantly throughout the day. During peak seasons, your PTO switch might be activated 50 times a day or more – engaging for each new field, disengaging to turn at headlands, stopping for adjustments. These seals are built to handle that kind of punishment, using materials that resist hydraulic fluid breakdown and maintain their sealing properties through temperature changes and heavy use.
Installation Notes
This is a cylinder rebuild job that requires removing and disassembling the steering cylinder. Installation requires basic mechanical skills and standard tools, but you’ll need to bleed the system properly after installation. Always check your power steering fluid level and condition before installing a new pump, and flush the system if the fluid is contaminated. Clean everything thoroughly during assembly – any dirt or debris can damage the new seals. Don’t forget to refill with fresh hydraulic fluid and bleed the system completely before putting the tractor back to work.
